About the Organization: 
Women’s World Banking (WWB) is an international network of MFIs in several countries which brings financial services and information to low-income entrepreneurs. Its mission is to expand the economic assets, participation, and power of poor women as entrepreneurs and economic agents by opening their access to finance, knowledge, and markets. It seeks to alleviate global poverty by expanding the economic assets, participation, and power of the poor, especially women.
About the Job: 
WWB is seeking a Fundraising Consultant. S/he will develop and execute a European fundraising strategy, which taps in to bilateral, foundation, corporate and individual revenue sources.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Understand WWB’s work and potential “pitches” associated with the organization;
  • Identify top prospects, including a diversity of potential revenue sources;
  • Develop value proposition for specific prospects;
  • Develop necessary solicitation materials, liaise with various WWB teams for inputs and approval;
  • In coordination with WWB CDO, secure meetings and meet with potential prospects;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and secure grants/gifts.

Qualifications: 
  • Available to travel throughout Europe as is required for successful execution of the three-phase strategy;
  • Fluency, written and spoken, in English and preferably two other languages;
  • Demonstrated track-record in securing gifts/grants from European sources, for an international NGO;
  • Ability to lead and manage all aspects of work from prospecting through securing gift.
