About the Job:
HOPE International is seeking a Operations Manager. S/he will be responsible for all of the loan and client management activities of HOPE Congo and will report directly to the managing director.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Rigorously see to the improvement of the image and effectiveness of HOPE through recommendations, inovations, and reductions in operational costs;
- Maintain the highest standards of portfolio quality;
- Ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented in all aspects of operations;
- Directly supervise all members of the operations team;
- Evaluate regularly the performance of team members and control their work according to standards and practices of the institution;
- Achieve the planned growth according to the annual plan;
- Facilitate the planning and formation of new community banks;
- Provide weekly projections for planned disbursements of fund;
- Performing all other tasks as assigned by the MD in order to accomplish the mission of the institution.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in microfinance, banking or financial services sector, preferably in Africa or other developing nation;
- Excellent analytical, problem identification, and problem solving skills;
- Extreme flexibility and ability to cope with stressful situations;
- Creativity and ability to work with limited resources;
- Ability to relate to and motivate local staff effectively;
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoit required;
- Experience with Loan Performer or other banking software packages is strongly recommended;
- Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skills in presenting findings and recommendations;
- Strong English and French language proficiencies.
