We are looking for 2 Legal Trainees to join Nokia's global Legal, IP & Government Relations function for 6 months;
• one for the upcoming General Meetings of Shareholders (Extraordinary General Meeting 2013 “EGM” and Annual General Meeting 2014 “AGM”) at the Corporate & Securities Law team, and
• one at the Legal Entity Management team.

Both positions are located in Espoo, Finland and are open to law students in their final stage of studies.

EGM/AGM TraineePrimary responsibilities of the law student to be chosen to this position relate to assisting in arranging Nokia’s EGM in 2013 and AGM of 2014. The Legal Trainee will work on organizing and carrying various practicalities related to the EGM and AGM together with the project team, including preparing the meeting materials, websites, and related translations. In addition to these tasks, the Legal Trainee will support the lawyers of the Corporate & Securities Law team with matters related to the EGM and AGM and also other projects of the team.

Legal Entity Management TraineeThe law student chosen to this position will be providing assistance to the legal entity management of Nokia Group companies domestically and around the world and work on other tasks assigned. Legal entity management entails work on, for example the Legal Entity Simplification project, which is about simplifying the legal entity structure and liquidating and/or merging various group companies in several countries, and basic corporate legal work in relation to Nokia group subsidiaries, such as preparation of different types of legal documents, assigning the work to the agreed law firms globally and provision of internal advisory services in relation to Nokia´s subsidiaries.


Qualifications

 To succeed in their roles, the personal skills of the Legal Trainees should include attention to detail and deadlines, good problem solving and project management skills, proactive mindset and efficient communication between the internal stakeholders and the project team. A basic understanding and/or work experience of corporate legal concepts and corporate governance in Finland and in an international environment is a benefit.

Some of the above tasks include reporting skills but also solid IT skills are mandatory. A good command of both Finnish and English language is required, and strong Swedish is a benefit. Knowledge of the legal and financial terminology is also a benefit for these positions.
