EHS Advisor 1 - $500 ERB Eligible

Job description



Carson Energy Services, a division of URS Flint, is currently looking for an EHS Advisor to join our team in Carlyle, Sk.
Reporting to the EHS Lead and assigned to a defined geographic area of responsibility. The incumbent provides "hands on" and site level EHS technical expertise. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Working with Line Management, Safety Officers and Client safety reps
  • Conducting safety performance reviews and Safety Management System Attests.  
  • May perform Safety Orientations or Training.
  • Monitoring compliance with the Flint Safety Management System, our clients’ safety processes as well as provincially legislated safety regulations.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • College diploma is preferred.
  • Professional certification or training in Occupational Health and Safety, supplemented by certification as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is preferred.
  • Experience in facility, pipeline construction or field operations, or maintenance is required.
  • Two or more years of proven experience in the implementation and measurement of leading edge safety management processes example Behavior Observation Program (BOP).
  • Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office applications is an asset.
