Macmillan Education, part of the Macmillan Science and Education group and a leading publisher in English language materials, is looking for an Operations Manager to join its Global Operations department.
As directed by the Head of Project Operations, the Operations Manager’s mission is to deliver a portfolio of publishing projects for a specific market segment across both digital and print. The Operations Manager will manage a team of Project Managers and coordinate resourcing across functional operations groups; overseeing the workflow and processes for the projects in the publishing list for which they are responsible.

Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant will already be an experienced manager who has developed teams, ideally within an ELT or educational publishing environment. Experience of delivering complex programmes of work across print and digital and thorough knowledge of all pre-press and press procedures is also required. The candidate will have been involved with developing, implementing and monitoring operational procedures.
Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level with a recognised project management qualification, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. They will have an appetite for change and the ability to question current practices in order to make improvements.
Applicants must have an existing right to live and work in the United Kingdom. The level of appointment will be commensurate with experience.
