Background:
Based on an experience of over 15 years in microfinance, Horus created Advans with several major international financial institutions. The Advans mission is to build a network of financial institutions offering credit products and deposit and other traditional financial services to MSMEs in developing countries who have limited or no access to the formal financial system. The Advans network currently operates in eight countries: Cambodia, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) Advans serve more than 400,000 customers for an outstanding loan of EUR 170 million and a volume of deposits of EUR 90 million, through a network of 140 branches.
Advans Banque Congo was created by the group in 2009. It has a network of 6 offices in Kinshasa, employs over 270 people and serves 22,000 customers an outstanding loan of EUR 12.5 million and deposits of up to EUR 5 million.
Under the leadership of its new CEO, the bank will continue its strong growth in Kinshasa and in new markets, maintaining its orientation traditional microfinance, and ensuring a solid level of profitability.
It is a three-year assignment based headquarters Advans Banque Congo Kinshasa. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

Role / Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the team responsible for local department in place, the CEO has the responsibility to inject a supporting dynamic successes to ensure a sustainable and profitable growth of the institution and maintain an internal social climate quality.
Its objectives:
• Develop the institution in accordance with the strategy defined by the Board of Directors Advans, and reporting results and developments;
• Ensuring a strong, healthy and profitable operations, in accordance with the mission of the bank;
• Ensure that the necessary arrangements are in place to control the risks of the bank;
• Participate in the business development of the bank, especially with key SME customers (acquisition and customer care, participation in credit committees) Securing external refinancing (planning, negotiation and relationships with various external lenders);
• Contribute to the professional development of key employees of the bank;
• Identify and oversee the organizational changes needed to support the development of the bank;
• Maintain at all times a good relationship with partners (lenders, donors, technical partners) and local authorities (Central Bank, tax authorities, etc..) In a complex and demanding environment;
• Maintain a high level of coordination with the head of Horus in Paris on technical and management issues.

Education / Skills / Experience:
• Diploma (Bac +5) in Management / Banking / Finance;
• Fluent French, English proficiency.
• At least 15 years experience including 8 years in a senior management position in the financial services (retail banking, financial institution or microfinance);
• Professional experience in successful developing countries in Africa;
• Excellent skills in entrepreneurship, leadership and organization, with a strong focus on results and a very good risk culture;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity;
• Resistant to stress, able to confidently manage a complex environment;
• Ability to find pragmatic solutions that are adapted to the local context.
