Role Overview:

The AfME Customer Engagement Lead is responsible for the Meetings & Congress strategy for the region, aligned with the global CoE strategy and delivered via Local Account Managers. Responsible for operational delivery and performance for meetings execution and the effectiveness of associated processes. This role is responsible for the implementation of all GCO policies, standards and initiatives and will report metrics on savings, volumes and activities to the GCO Meetings COE as requested. This role will work with the countries to increase understanding of the GCO visions and actively lead the implementation plans within this region.

Responsible for regional oversight of local implementation of GCO initiatives, provides direction and metrics reporting for all initiatives. Implements strategy in the region. Ensures data from region supports metrics objectives to deliver target savings goals.

Responsible for compliance and implementation of process, supplier compliance and reporting and required documents for GCO CE COE

Core Responsibilities:

• Drive the set up of the AfME regional CE structure, including talent selection, capability development and systems rollout

• Shares CE COE strategies and is aligned to COE through goals and objectives

• Leads Strategic Meetings & Congress approach and compliance controls in the execution of meetings and congresses.

• Presents annual meeting strategies to AfME GCO Lead and GCO CE COE to produce excellent business outcomes, improvement processes and increase productivity for the business

• Development of turnkey solutions and metrics to support sustainable change. Create an environment that is flexible and adaptive. Accountable for achieving savings target for local and above markets

• review savings opportunities and new innovative approaches to the business

• Assists in Annual budget process and other duties

• Creates, maintains and educates staff on SOPs and compliance.

• Liaison with legal, medical, compliance, finance and Country Managers.

• Support the business objectives re compliance and financial reporting through managed processes, people and suppliers

• Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to meet Pfizer’s business goals and objectives

• Key advisor to senior leadership about meeting compliance and metrics

• Subject Matter Expertise input for the business units- assisting with building operating plans, advising savings potentials, innovative approaches to approaching meetings and compliance.

• Point of escalation for issues to be reviewed by CE COE

• Coordinate with GPO Sourcing Specialist / CSM re sourcing initiatives, commercials, contract management, analytics, savings

• Manages regional account managers and directs their stakeholder engagement activities and regional project delivery.

o Oversees the monthly work of the Local Account Managers and the assembly, review and reporting of team meeting metrics.

• Sets the bar high for performance and holds others accountable

• Actively coaches and develops talent and teams. Develops skills and competencies.

• Management and Team Leadership capability and experience- managing people, conflict and change management

• Analysis of category metrics such as spend and activity levels

• Performance Management- responsible for budgets and financial analysis and savings goals. Creating and managing individual manager and team performance metrics.

• Project Management- This position manages multi-faceted, complex projects that have impact across customers and Pfizer. Creating new standards and practices to maximize organizational savings and efficiencies.

• Managing people- able to motivate, train and develop a team while ensuring compliance and consistency across the other team leaders.

• Delegation of duties and projects to deliver projects in a timely manner

• Developing talent to increase capabilities and skill levels of the team

• Communications skills in presenting to senior leadership on metrics, process and compliance.

• Strong Understanding of the organizational structure and product for the business unit supported to give guidance to direct reports and have relationship with clients.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s degrees required. Qualifications / Experience: - Event management industry experience - Pharma experience - 5+ years of Management / team leadership experience - Able to manage budget of 50 million - 10+ years Meetings Industry Experience Additional Offer Details: Foreign nationals whose eligibility to work requires sponsorship or maintenance of valid immigration status may not be eligible for this position.
