SummaryReporting to the Manager – Procurement & Logistics (International) in Calgary, the Manager – Procurement & Logistics (Chad) will be responsible for the overall logistics, procurement, contracts and material handling functions in Chad, including the leadership of the Procurement team as well as the execution of all departmental plans.Responsibilities:Logistics • Implement new logistics, procurement and materials management procedures that comply with company standards and best practices. • Maintain accurate records and establish a tracking system for all shipments.• Ensure strict handling and shipping procedures are followed for exploration samples. • Manage transportation of equipment and approve relevant payments. • Manage logistic mobilizations for key projects. • Ensure cost effective and timely movements of goods and materials to and from company projects. • Source and manage vendor contracts. • Maintain supply of materials and spares for site. • In conjunction with other staff, oversee the shipment of equipment and approval of relevant payments. • Communicate regularly with Manager – Procurement & Logistics (International) on projects and logistical issues. • Support new business proposals providing advice and costs as required. • United Hydrocarbon International Corp. Procurement and Contracts • Continuously improve procurement and contracts policies and processes to facilitate more effective and cost efficient operations. • Manage the procurement and contract process for key projects, ensuring procurement is cost effective, timely, efficient and compliant with Chad laws and regulations and Corporate Policies. • Manage the tender process for new suppliers. • Negotiate and maintain PSL agreements. • Execute contracts and purchasing orders, ensuring supplier and sub-contractors meet contracted obligations. • Maintain critical records, including, equipment cost list for pricing purposes. • Obtain and maintain operational and project budget cost tracking. • Process contracts and purchase orders in line with operational need and project budget. • Provide advice as per corporate policy for the maintenance and management of country equipment stores. • Ensure the contracting and procurement process is in line with corporate policy in terms of financial control and efficiency. Regulatory/Compliance • Ensure compliance for contract-related matters with corporate, legal, ethics, regulatory, insurance, finance, tax, and HSE requirements. • Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills. • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and communication (both written and oral) skills. • Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately. • Self-starter with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you must have: • A minimum of 12 years Supply Chain Management experience. • International experience (Africa) in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred. • Experience with Drilling and Completions is an asset. • A Business or Supply Chain Management degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. • Post-secondary education in procurement, materials management, administration or other relevant field would be preferred. • Knowledge of purchasing systems in particular NAV. • Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Bilingual (French/English) preferred.
