Job Details:
A leading European Construction company is currently building a large road in West Africa
They are urgently recruiting a HSE manager to act as the key contact between the construction company and the end client.
Responsibilities:
· Health and safety policy and strategy development.
· Participate to the recruitment and training of any HSE personnel.
· Be the first point of contact for any HSE questions and queries.
· Produce monthly HSE statistics.
· Organisational risk management.
· Health and safety audits and reviews.
· Health & safety management coaching/structures at all levels within the organisation.
The ideal HSE Manager will have the following background:
· Degree educated in Occupational Health and Safety or similar
· Excellent working knowledge of African health and safety legislation and regulations
· Site based experience in construction methods and techniques.
· Fully conversant with occupational health with emphasis on the workforce
· International experience
· Experience in mines and/or roads
