Our client is an internationally recognised brand and leading specialist supplier of high quality steel infrastructure solutions. The business is undergoing an exciting growth phase and is looking to add to their successful West African team.

Regional Sales Manager – West Africa (French & English Speaking)

c£45,000 - 55,000 basic plus Competitive benefits package

Ideal candidate location: Senegal or Ghana


Objective:

To deliver sales of the company’s proprietary infrastructure products to target customers in West Africa.


The Role:

• Responsible for the performance of the sales lifecycle in the region, you will grow existing accounts and new client acquisition through a business mix relevant to role and local market

• Managing tenders with local contractors and managing projects on a turnkey delivery basis.

• Forecasting of sales and associated reports for the allocated sales territory.

• Maintaining the company’s standards of ethical business practice and promoting and protecting the company’s good reputation.

• Contributing to the building and development of a successful and professional sales team with a global view. 

Qualifications:
The Person: • With a background and/or training in business development or engineering, you have a proven track record selling high value capital equipment with lengthy sales cycles to Road Authorities, EPC Contractors, Military or Private Companies involved in Mining, Oil & Gas or Energy • Has strong commercial and negotiation skills that have been successfully employed within complex buying environments with multiple decision makers • Demonstrates an understanding of relevant markets in the West African region as well as cultural nuances, business etiquette and local business models. Ideally the candidate will be a West African native with strong local connections. • Enjoy managing large scale projects and seeing them through to completion • The post holder will need to be fluent in English and French to be able to operate effectively within the business and across the West African Region.
