The company provides innovative business services to investors and practitioners of micro- and small enterprise development. About the Job:  Symbiotics is seeking an Investment Analyst - Sub-Saharan Africa. S/he will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with portfolio companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Tasks and Responsibilities:  Conduct on-site due diligence of MFIs in Sub-Saharan Africa; Write credit risk appraisals, investment advisory reports, and social performance evaluations; Monitor global situation, opportunities, and risks in financial markets of the above mentioned region; Develop a pipeline of credit worthy investment targets in specific markets; Maintain and monitor fifteen portfolio companies, including monthly financial reporting; Support the development of new business opportunities in the region. Qualifications:  Previous experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or investment management; Knowledge of the microfinance industry and impact investment a strong asset; Previous experience in Sub-Saharan Africa a strong asset; Capacity to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis; Fluent English, Portuguese,and/or French a strong asset; Willingness and readiness to travel (up to 30%).
