KPA Duties:
Input into Operational Planning• Informally discuss input into the section’s plan with superior• Input into identifying ways to fine tune procedures and their application• Plan for assembly and production work to meet the targets as set by the Fulfilment/Production Manager• Organise work and resources to enable staff to do work as planned• Prioritise work to meet urgent consignments as arranged with the As per promotional forecasts set by the Fulfilment/Production ManagerOperational Coordination/Process• Work with existing processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced• Work consistently according to standard operating procedures• Evaluate situations and determine the best methods to reach defined outcomes• Share experiences and knowledge of relevant work matters• Determine with superior and subordinate who needs to do what, when, how and why• Gather information and research to ensure delivery of results e.g. stock reconciliations and stock takesAssembly and Production• Ensure stock is secured whilst in assembly and production lines. Do stock-takes daily and provide the variance report to the Fulfilment /Production Manager• Ensure strict compliance to technical machinery and equipment maintenance plans and arrange for maintenance accordingly• Ensure logging is done e.g. unicentre service desk (USD call) and resolve or escalate problems timely• Ensure accumulated rejections are kept to a minimum – and so-doing the resultant reworking of those rejections.• Provide input into projects within the Fulfilment Department.• Ensure assembly and production targets are met within parameters• Assist with stock counts as arranged• Ensure that all documentation is properly filed for retrieval and audit purposes.• Assist with the upload and update of the SCADA system of new handsets / codes.Reporting• Prepare relevant information and data for reporting purposes during departmental meetings• Identify and prepare relevant information and data for reporting purposes• Make assessments of and draw solutions from qualitative data. Make logical deductions and draw conclusions that can be motivated• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports on all activities of the sectionProcess and Procedure Effectiveness• Ensure that workflow continues without interruption• Continually improve existing processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and performance• Implement a high standard of housekeeping and ensure it is maintained on a daily basis to avoid any form of pilferage and stock losses.• Ensure all documentation is filed in a manner that is easily retrieval by any member of the team and meet the auditors’ requirements.• Conduct checks on the hardware equipment and ensure these are regularly serviced and maintained in good working orderCost Control• Ensure spending remains within budget limits through actions consideredCustomer Satisfaction / Customer Service• Understand customer needs and input into the fine-tuning of processes and procedures accordingly• Ensure all customer queries are attended to and resolved• Ensure that customer specifications are met and that the customer is satisfied with the end service and/or product• Provide advice on the best approach to reach the best results• Deliver first time right service excellence• Pull data from the system in response to queries received for informationQuality Management• Ensure application of the quality assurance of the collaterals of the specifications determined by the Fulfilment Manager.• Ensure legislative compliance, e.g. Health & Safety Act (Training and Regulations and Programs)• Check subordinates’ work for accuracy daily and use it as opportunity to do on the job training• Work consistently according to standards of accuracy, deadlines and formats• Understand the quality standards of the job and the reason for these standards, and communicate these reasons to others• Understand and communicate the consequences of not maintaining quality focusIdentify processes and procedures where the quality of work may be improved• Seek feedback from clients/ stakeholders and continuously seeks ways of improving on quality and customer service standards• Implement the Fulfilment’s PPP’s and ensure that staff has an clear understanding and strict adherence.• Review the PPP’s and submit proposals to amend as and when the business requires.Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Complexity: • Set boundaries within which direct reports will operate• Enable direct reports to do their work by monitoring, coaching and problem solving• Continually assess the technical competence of the team and take steps to develop their knowledge and skill• Equip people with the necessary skills and tools to enable them to perform effectively• Identify, accumulate and analyse statistics that reflect on the team’s performance• Evaluate and assess people performance• Actively manage non-performance• Enforce a customer-centric approach• Develop supportive relationships with reports and encourage a team spirit• Communicate actively and effectively resolving any potential conflicts that may arise, and sharing and providing relevant information
Requirements:
Education: Matric; Tertiary education e.g. Diploma in Business Management and a specialisation in Supply Chain or Production equivalent will be anadvantage
years relevant experience in a warehouse environment Cellular experience will be to the incumbent’s advantage• 1 year as Supervisor.
