Description :At Baker Hughes the purpose of this role is to:

Responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, components, supplies and services essential to the area of responsibility.

May oversee the approval and control of purchasing activities for an assigned product group/staff.

May recommend new developments in materials and supplies and on improving the quality and cost of purchases.

May supervise small staff.

Works to maximize production capacity in coordination with production scheduled consistent with master schedules.

Contributes to work tasks and instructions specifying processes and/or equipment used to meet finished good needs.

Handles special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications :Education / Experience / Training required to do this role:.

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

5+ years applicable and/or specialized experience.

Skills / Knowledge required to do this role:

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong negotiation skills.

Good analytical skills.
