Okala Ahanda is recruiting on behalf of a public administrative étabilissement operating in the public works sector economist with the following profile: I. NATURE OF THE POST Level 1 framework Type of contract: CDI Location: Yaoundé. II. MISSIONS OF POST Set up a system for collecting information from different sources and related to the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads and urban roads, as well as prevention and road safety; Exploit the results of studies and surveys on road sector with a view to make suggestions to optimize resource allocation for road projects; Prospective studies regarding alternative financing mechanisms and innovative optimization spending in the areas covered by the object of the institution; Develop key indicators for monitoring and evaluating the implementation in time and space, projects and programs associated with the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads and urban roads, as well as prevention and road safety; Develop indicators to measure the impact of EPF on the achievement of sectoral objectives and identify the shortcomings and gaps; Propose, where appropriate, the means may contribute to the realignment of the initial objectives; Highlight the relevance of the strategic choices made at the stage of planning and implementation of projects; Contribute to a sectoral approach to the production, accumulation and dissemination of information on the national road network and its financing (i) the preparation of methodological notes, comparative thematic notes between countries, (ii) the updating of website of the establishment and interactive spaces documentation and exchanges around the sectoral analysis in road infrastructure (country and comparative) of segment information in respect of road infrastructure; Contribute to the preparation of the annual activity report; Contribute to strengthening the capacity of national actors in the field of sectoral analysis and policy trade-offs in terms of road infrastructure; Prepare consultation meetings with officers and private partners as regards the promotion of best practices in the areas covered by the object of the Establishment. III. CANDIDATE PROFILE Be aged between 30 and 40 years; Hold a statistician-economist or a university Master's degree or BAC +5 in relation Economics and Statistics level engineering degree; Have a professional experience of at least 5 years in a similar position; Have extensive statistical techniques or econometrics knowledge Control problems of development of road infrastructure in the context of developing countries; Strong ability to take responsibility, team spirit, strong writing skills, analytical mind. Other skills : Proficiency in computer software processing and analysis of statistical data (CSPRO; SPPSS; STATA; EVIEW; Knowledge of both official languages (French and English).
