To implement and maintain the Information Systems Security Architecture Framework. To implement projects to ensure confidentiality, integrity & availability of information.
KPA Duties:
Key Tasks: • Enterprise Security Architecture • Development of the IS security architecture strategy • Develops enterprise security architecture principles, standards, guidelines and model management aligned with architecture disciplines • Responsible for large scaled security architecture implementations such as database monitoring, data loss prevention, identity and access management etc. • Identifies solutions required to realise the enterprise security architecture, • Assess, evaluate and review current and proposed solutions. • Develops requirements of such solutions • Runs RFI/Ps and gives subject matter expert guidance • Implements and operationalizes solutions • Align current and future models by formulating proposed roadmaps. • Formulate and monitor adherences. • Conduct assessments. • Security Solutions Architecture • Provides security consulting services on Business and IS projects • Interprets the enterprise security architecture and applies to projects • Assists projects in developing risk profiles, assessment of security requirements, security design, implementation and security testing • Track Security trends and innovations and assess their applicability for the MTN SA • Liaise with strategic vendors to develop shared long-term roadmaps • Manage research to keep abreast of best practices and trends. • Consult with experts to get knowledge of industry best practices and trends. • Market security architectural services to all stakeholders. Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Tasks: Supervise Systems Security Administrator in performing security reviews Leadership in the promotion of information security across MTN Role Dependencies: Advise on information security issues outside of the scope of the IS Department, e.g. within Network Group environment, or in African countries Perform investigations relating to abuse of information resources, follow-up with relevant authorities Assist in investigations relating to fraudulent use of information systems
Requirements:
• 3 Year degree • CISSP, CISM or equivalent Information Security qualification or relevant proven working experience • Thorough knowledge security risks and control measures
±8 yrs experience in IS environment A minimum of 3 to 5 years in an Information Security Architecture / Consulting Role Information security risks & controls knowledge
Knowledge: Industry (Telecommunications) Information security architecture principles and best practices Information systems – operating systems, networks, applications Information security risks and controls Skills / physical competencies: Excellent communication skills Analytical skills Project management skills Negotiation & Leadership skills Behavioural qualities: Confidentiality Integrity, Friendly, Simplicity, Innovation, “Can-Do” and team work
