A global leader in Facilities and Property Management is currently expanding into Africa and has successfully won major contracts in Nigeria.
They are urgently recruiting Area Manager to act as support to a Regional Operations Manager. You will be vital in expanding a major Facilities Management contract.
Based in Nigeria, you will be managing site leaders in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and various locations throughout Africa.
The responsibilities of the Area Manager will be:
• Managing a significant portfolio of commercial buildings
• Assess the performance management of the hard services (in house) and the soft services (out sourced)
• Act as manager and coach to the site leaders to ensure high morale and personal development.
• Ensure the application of maintenance schedules in the prescribed timescales
• Develop in conjunction with a Regional Operations manager the strategic financial plan including initiatives for cost savings and ensure targets are met where possible
• Implement and create strategies to improve the level of service and satisfaction of the client
The successful candidate will have the following background:
• Experience managing hard and soft services
• Have at least 5 years of experience in a corporate facilities management environment
• Experience managing sites in multiple locations is advantageous
• A Nigerian national
• Good interpersonal skills, a team player, a good decision maker, good analytical skills
