A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Hydro Mechanical Engineer to work for a leading international Power Energy company within their operations in Africa.

 

The successful dynamic Hydro Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all activities within Africa responsibilities will include: 

• Work on one of Africa’s biggest HydroPower Projects

• Maintenance of all plant equipment

• Working on  turbines, trash racks, valves, cranes and all mechanical machinery associated with a HydroElectric Dams and Powerhouses.

• Working alongside and teaching local staff

• Dealing EPC contractors, IPP bidding projects, PPA negotiations and project development in general

• Management of contractors on site 

 

Personal Requirements: 

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience within the power and renewables industry

• Experience of the African market is highly advantageous

• Experience of Turbines, Trash Racks, Valves, Cranes and all Mechanical Machinery associated with a HydroElectric Dams and Powerhouses.

• Management experience in Africa is very beneficial

• Fluency in English is a must
